APLIWELD® Secure+ exothermic welding

Traditionally, exothermic welding required the user to have multiple cartridges with different powder weights for carrying out the various connections. With APLIWELD^® -T the required number of tablets are placed inside the graphite mould. Hence there is no need for multiple cartridges.

Traditionally, once the conductors were inserted in the graphite mould, the welding compound and the reactive powder (usually a flammable compound) were poured into the crucible. Then a flint gun, applied manually to the starting powder at arm’s length produced a spark triggering the exothermic reaction. With APLIWELD® -E, the electronic starter is inserted on top and activated from a distance. Hence it is completely safe for the operator.

The new electronic kit is lighter (weighing only one kilogram) and more versatile thanks its charging system via USB to USB-C cable. In this way, the kit can be recharged by any device with a USB input to avoid delays due to the lack of power sources in construction environments. Furthermore, the device can carry out more than 100 welds without recharging. The ignition control is also simplified.

Basic set of accessories for Apliweld: cleaning brush for conductors, slag removal spade, mould brush, cavity cleaning brush, sealer compound and safety gloves. The AT-068N tool set includes a spark lighter for traditional starting powder ignition.

Accessory to facilitate safe fastening, closing and handling of the moulds it is to be used with. This is the most common clamp, suitable for approximately 80% of connections.
